Thankyou is a social enterprise that sells consumer products and commits 100% of profits to helping end extreme poverty.
We started out as three university students who believed the system could change and then ‘we’ grew to millions of people purchasing products for a cause much bigger than us all. We’ve raised over $5.8m to date and impacted over 780,000 lives.
After nearly 10 years in Australia achieving what many said was impossible, it's time to take Thankyou global. New Zealand was (and is) our first country of choice.
Kiwis have the courage to act on big ideas (amazing you were the first to climb Everest and allow women to vote) – and many of the world's biggest brands trial ideas in New Zealand because if a concept works there, it will work globally.
So we invite you, New Zealand, to help take the Thankyou movement to the next level!
- To raise funds for the launch, we ran a remarkable world first crowdfunding campaign selling our book Chapter One. Sold at a ‘pay what you want’ price, the book raised $360,000 within two hours of launch and $1.44 million (AUD) within one month.
- We have an incredible local team that includes a Kiwi named Ben (who left a great leadership role to become GM of Thankyou New Zealand), Estelle (a Kiwi who started working for us in Aus, then got married and moved back to NZ to help drive the launch), and Elly (who was awesome enough to give co-founder Daniel Flynn her resumé in a bottle asking for a job) – among others.
